Longleat

I loved all the animals around the park and personally I thought the most photogenic animals to take photographs of was the butterflies and the deer. I loved the butterflies they were beautiful, colourful and delicate. The deer were also very beautiful, their stance and antlers were what shone out to me the most.I really enjoyed feeding them but they did dribble a lot. I hope you enjoy looking at these images as much as I enjoyed taking them!

My Trip To Longleat

A few days ago I visited Longleat on a day trip. It was lovely there and I took some photos of all the animals I saw. These are some of many animals I saw and photographed.

Abstract Painting

Last night I decided to play around with acrylic paint and some tools and decided to do some abstract painting. I enjoy abstract painting because I think the colours and mark making do all the talking. I love experimenting with what tools make different shapes and marks. I think zooming in to the paint on certain sections work well because all the colours bind together very well and it isn't to overpowering.

Had some time to myself, decided to draw a biro sketch of my mums minature rose bush. With amaro filter on the photo from instagram. 

Making Miniature Stanleys.

First ideas came from making a paper version of my bear Stanley, but that soon developed into adding another laying giving him cotton wool stuffing and essentially making that 2D paper bear into a 3D paper model. I used this idea for my exhibition jar. I made a little Stanley placed him in the jar and created a scenery for him. I made it look like he was on the beach, I added some shells, I created a sandcastle and a deck chair. The outcome was very lovely. It all looks very sweet, like a story from a book. It feels like I have captured a chapter of the story and frozen the moment in the jar.

After my jar was a success I wanted to make more teddies so I decided to hand make some more for all my friends. I changed the nose into a more oval shaped bead. and I also added another update. I used a range of different patterns on paper for the back with relate to each of my friends in a certain way. I then decided to add a 'to and from' tag. I think they came out very well and I am very pleased with the result and so was my friends.

Confirmed place in my chosen course :)

Today I had my letter of confirmation for my course through the post. I needed an overall merit to get in and I succeeded that with getting a triple distinction. I am very happy. Expect lots of upcoming projects. Watch this space.
